Blue Bloods is about a family of New York City cops and the cases that affect their lives. Frank Reagan (Selleck) is the Police Commissioner, who is widowed with three grown children, Danny, Erin, and James and another son who died. The show focuses on Danny (Wahlberg) who is a top NYPD detective but is sometimes hard-nosed and does not always do things by the book. Erin (Monyahan) is a divorced mother of a teenage girl, who as Assistant DA deals with many of the criminals Danny and Frank arrest. Jamie (Estes) recently graduated the police academy and Harvard Law but is a rookie on the police force. However, some shady cops have attempted to recruit him for a mysterious organization called The Templers. Henry (Cariou) is a retired police commissioner and the father of Frank. He is usually there to provide worldly advise to his son and grandchildren. In addition, Frank is dating Kelly (Roth) a reporter who is always trying to get the story before Frank wants the public to know about it. Danny is married to Linda (Carlson) and they have two sons and Jamie is engaged to Sydney (Moore)
