Justified is an American television drama series created by Graham Yost based on the Elmore Leonard character Raylan Givens, a U.S. Marshal, from Leonard's novels Pronto and Riding the Rap and Leonard's short story "Fire in the Hole".[3] The series is set in the hill country of Eastern Kentucky. Timothy Olyphant stars as the tough, sexy,[4][5] southern-bred but soft-spoken federal lawman, enforcing his own brand of at-times extralegal justice.[3] Justified premiered on March 16, 2010, on the FX network.[3][6] In Canada, Justified airs on Super Channel.[7] Described by Metacritic as "universal[ly] acclaim[ed]",[8] the show has been renewed for a second season
